The hunt had begun. Though Tino seemed very hesitant in actually going through with the hunt, he was very keen on the idea of protecting his family from harm. Even though they were going to be facing a dangerous beast, the Finnish man would hate to see a dragon carrying off Emil, Lukas, Mathias, or even Berwald.
The azure sky hung over them all, crisp with the taste of an early spring morn. Light danced off the patches of snow that covered the ground somewhat brilliant and blinding. The cold winds of Jack Frost nipped at their noses leaving them a nice shade of rosy pink.
“It feels nice to go on a dragon hunt together, ja?” Tino spoke trying to keep the mood cheery and light. “I mean, usually it is just Mathias and Berwald that go but now we can all go as a family.”
“Ja…” Berwald grumbled, walking with confident, steady steps.
“I’ve never been on a dragon hunt before…” Emil mused, holding his older brother’s hand in his so he would not slip on the sheets of ice under the snow.
“Oh, you’ll love them kid,” Mathias announced loudly. “There’s tons of excitement and danger. Usually everyone either dies or gets burned during their first battle. I’ve never been hurt before, though,” he boasted, a proud gleam glistening in his blue orbs. Lukas rolled his eyes at the remark and looked down at his kid brother.
“Don’t listen to him,” he reassured the boy in a deep monotone. “Just stick by me and I’ll make sure you don’t get harmed.
“I wasn’t worried, big brother,” Emil protested, looking at rabbit that hopped across the ground searching for any food.
“Of course he’s not,” Mathias beamed, “because he knows that big brother Mathias is going to watch out for him, isn’t that right, Emil?” Emil gave Mathias one long, indifferent look.
“Right…” He stated blandly, looking about over at the hopping rabbit. But the spiky-haired Dane didn’t seem to catch the sarcastic tone in the boy’s voice. Instead, the Dane took up the task of humming rather loudly to himself. The cheerful look on the man’s face contradicted the large, dangerous battle ax that was strapped to his back, ready to kill. After a more paces of silence, the Dane opened his mouth and began to sing in a rather loud tone.
“Oh, the battles axes are falling for the war is to be won,” he sang cheerfully, amusement dancing in every syllable. “The enemies are-a coming an- come Lukas, sing with me, I know you know the words~,” he laughed, draping an arm around the Norwegian male’s shoulders.
Lukas did not respond to the man, he just gave him a clearly irritated look.
“And we’re going to make them run,” Mathias continued to sing. “Make them, run, run, run~,” he laughed as his song continued. Mathias’s blue orbs once again flickered over to Lukas. “Aw, come on, Lukie, sing with me,” the Dane whined.
“No…” Lukas responded gruffly, sighing at the pouting expression that played on the Dane’s masculine face.
“But why not,” Mathias’s tone began to turn into one full of teasing. “You have the voice of an angel.”
“Shut it, Matt,” Lukas warned, his voice staying at its normal level.
“Mathias…” Tino tried to politely say. “Try not to test Lukas’s patience too much today, ja?”
“Aw, come on Tino,” Mathias laughed. “He’s just a creep anyway.”
“But we’re all a family,” Tino stated warmly, “And we should get along with each other much more than we do, right Berwald?”
“Hmph,” the Swede grumbled in response.
“Um, see? Berwald agrees with me.”
But Mathias didn’t seem to be listening anymore (if he had been at all, that is). Instead he decided to keep pestering Lukas.
“Aw, come on, I was only doing the joking with ya. Sometimes I wonder why my best friend ended up being a woman-,” Mathias was abruptly cut off by Lukas who quickly gripped him by the collar of his tunic, jerking him down and closer to the seemingly emotionless Norwegian man.
“I told you to stop it,” Lukas evenly stated, looking the Dane directly in the eyes.
“Ack… fine…” Mathias choked out in defeat. After a few more moments of holding the Dane captive, Lukas slowly released the man’s collar and continued walking. Berwald and Emil simply watched with blank, unsurprised expressions while Tino gazed on, sweating and looking a bit embarrassed by the situation.
“Damn…” Mathias laughed, picking up his pace to catch up with Lukas. “You sure are moody, Lukas.” But he didn’t get any response from the man. So, he gave an exasperated sigh and continued walking without talking, instead he merely hummed the song he had been singing earlier which the other four supposed they could live with. The calls of nature rang in their ears and Tino couldn’t help but smile at the warm feeling coursing through him.
“You know,” he spoke up. “I enjoy times like this, when the five of as are together. I mean, we’re all brothers and, well, I love having such a wonderful family. Sure we aren’t always getting along but still…” Tino grinned at each of them warmly. “The scariest thought I ever had was the idea that we would all get separated and that we’d never see each other ever again…” A small frown tugged on the man’s lips. “And, if that ever does happen… I don’t know what to do or where I’ll go… because this is home.”
Tino looked around at all the brothers around him before speaking again.
“Home is with all of us. All five of us.”

With a fearsome roar, you opened your man crushing jaws and used the muscles located up your neck and near your fire gland to push out a heated spark of fire. Though it would still be a long while before you got you the full power of your main attack and defense, you decided to start exercising those key muscles. Instead of ferocious flames, all you were able to exhale was dark smoke that could only cause a human being to end up in a fit of coughing.
Slightly dismayed by the sight of such weak fire breathing skills, you decided to head back to your cave since there wasn’t much to do. Looking up towards the perfect, blue sky, you stretched out your scaly wings and pumped them a few times. The sound of wind being pushed down by your strong wings filled your ears and you turned you head towards where the ledge you were on dropped down into a valley. With clawed feet digging into the soft spring snow, you walked towards the drop-off showing not even the slightest traces of fear. Your sharp claws dug into the earth for a moment as you teetered near the edge, your front half facing downwards towards the land below. If your jaws had been physically able to contort into a smile, they would have. Releasing your grip on the ground, you began to head closer and closer to the cold ground. But your wings were positioned in a way that caused you to more or less glide down.
Then, just as you were close to hitting the terrain, your direction changed and now you were soaring up, up, up, up. With each flap of your wings, you were getting closer to your cave dwelling. It only took a few minutes for you to reach your destination and you landed effortlessly with the help of your claws. Unleashing a large, dragon sized yawn, you strolled into your cave, ready to get a nice evening nap in before the time for night hunting started. But there was something off about your den: the smell.
There was something tainting the normal scent of your den, something that you hadn’t smelt yet this year. But you were no idiot, you knew what it was.
The smell was human.
And the creature that just jumped out at you with a large, sharpened ax was also human, along with the four others behind him.

Dragon!Norway x Reader ~The Dragonheart~ 2
~Chapter 2~
When you woke up that morning, you noticed the castle noises below you were significantly livelier. Maids were scampering to keep the roof clean of as much snow as possible, and the numbers of soldiers increased for the case of an emergency. As you remembered from the night before, a handful of nobles from the neighboring castles had taken a quick voyage to witness the magnificent sight: a dragon being sacrificed.
The three days was up, and in that time, the winter only grew worse. A blizzard was now considered part of a normal day. Only the hardiest of animals could survive in such a brittle environment.
What disturbed you mos

One) You fell off of the roof during a dragon spotting lesson.
Two) You dropped an axe on your own foot, thankfully it wasn't the sharp side.
Three) You tied the dragon saddle to yourself. Who does that?
Needless to say these actions plus more have made you the laughingstock of the whole village.
"Study up and practice so you don't end up like ______ (l/n)," people would say behind your back. You were beyond help when it came to dragon fighting and riding.
Best of all, today you and your group were going to the arena, your instructor believes in learning on the job. You weren't fighting any dragons or anything but you w
